IV Vitamin Therapy
COMING SOON!
What Is IV Therapy?
IV Vitamin Therapy is a treatment where vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) drip. This method bypasses the digestive system, allowing for faster absorption and higher concentrations of nutrients to be delivered to the body. It’s often promoted as a way to quickly rehydrate, boost the immune system, improve energy levels, and treat deficiencies.
Common vitamins and substances used in IV vitamin therapy include:
Vitamin C
B vitamins (such as B12)
Magnesium
Calcium
Antioxidants (like glutathione)
What Are The Benefits of IV Therapy?
IV Vitamin Therapy offers several benefits, including:
1. Improved Nutrient Absorption
Since the vitamins and nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream, IV therapy bypasses the digestive system. This allows for faster and more efficient absorption, which can be beneficial for people with conditions that affect nutrient absorption, like Crohn’s disease or celiac disease.
2. Increased Energy Levels
IV therapy is often used to combat fatigue and boost energy levels, particularly with ingredients like B vitamins, magnesium, and amino acids. Some users report feeling more energized after treatments.
3. Enhanced Hydration
Many IV therapies include saline or other hydrating fluids, which can be particularly useful for individuals suffering from dehydration, whether due to intense physical activity, illness, or excessive alcohol consumption.
4. Immune System Support
High doses of vitamins like vitamin C and zinc are believed to boost the immune system, potentially helping the body fight off colds, flu, and other infections more effectively.
5. Faster Recovery (from Illness, Hangovers, or Physical Activity)
IV therapy is often marketed as a remedy for hangovers, helping the body recover from excessive alcohol consumption by replenishing fluids and electrolytes. It’s also used by athletes for post-workout recovery to rehydrate and restore essential nutrients.
6. Anti-Aging and Skin Health
Some IV drips are formulated with antioxidants like glutathione, vitamins C and E, which are thought to help fight free radicals, promote skin health, and slow the signs of aging.
7. Improved Mental Clarity and Mood
IV therapy with magnesium, B vitamins, and amino acids is sometimes linked to improved mental clarity, better focus, and enhanced mood. It may also help alleviate symptoms of anxiety or depression in some individuals.
8. Customizable Treatments
IV therapy is often customizable based on the individual’s needs. For example, someone recovering from a workout may receive a different combination of vitamins and minerals than someone looking to boost immunity.
9. Potential for Treating Nutrient Deficiencies
For people with severe nutrient deficiencies or medical conditions that prevent proper nutrient absorption, IV therapy can provide immediate relief and replenish crucial nutrients.
IV Therapy Requirements:

Prescreening lab work including liver function tests, kidney function tests, complete blood count, etc. Patients who have had this blood work completed in the last 6 months do not need to repeat labs but anyone without blood work can be provided an OHIP covered requisition by the nurse in the initial prescreening appointment.
IMPORTANT: IV treatment will NOT be provided on the same day as the prescreening initial assessment.
